Is it me or does it seem more people are moving to the area? I read somewhere that DC metro is fastest growing area due to jobs scene here.
While I am all for growth and development this area is already too strained and congested..One of the reasons we are considering leaving.

same here! I get that the job market here is good, but wow. when will *companies* begin to relocate? there are so many wonderful areas of this country that I wish more companies would expand there and take advantage of the lower taxes and lower cost of living for the sake of their employees.

You always hear about this area growing, but I seem to know just as many people leaving as those wanting to come. I'd be curious to see the net growth.

With the recent BRAC and stability of our job market there are a considerable amount of people moving to the area.

I think one place to look would be the rental market. Are people getting insane rent increases? How are apartment vacancies?

I figure if demand is overwhelming then by supply and demand, rents go up and vacancies go down.

If what you say is true, then maybe I should shift my priorities and focus on buying ASAFP since I concluded that this area is great for me long term. Because if I don't, the rental market will slaughter me.

Decisions decisions.....
