I've been told that it's best to go to animal control and look for yourself (sometimes messages get mixed and your dog might be there). In any case, I hope your dog is safe. Maybe some nice person found her and is taking care of her until they can find you. At least, that's what I am hoping.

Animal control is closed today. That's why I had to leave a message. I will call back tomorrow when they are open.

oh I would be worried absolutely sick if my dog was lost...always micro-chip and never let them out without a collar with your number on it. I can tell you in the last year since we moved to Round Hill, we have found two lost dogs in our (small) yard. For some reason they like it at our house, must be our female dog Both of them had a collar with a number and I called both of the owners and they came within minutes. If the dog didn't have a tag, I'm not sure what I would have done, possibly nothing.

Let's hope the person that finds her does something more than you "possibly" would have done.

I hope so too.

I'm in the habit of picking up stray dogs if they are approachable. I've done it several times. One time I put signs up, walked around my neighborhood, etc. I kept the dog for 10 hours but then couldn't do so any longer because my own dog doesn't like other dogs. I did turn the dog into animal control. The owners claimed her the next day. Honestly, I was a bit peeved that it took them that long since they basically lived one street over from me. I felt like they weren't even looking for her because they could NOT have missed my signs if they had been. They seemed irritated that they had to pay a fine.

Anyway, I really hope some good samaritan has found your dog and is looking for you as much as you are looking for your dog. I've been thinking about you since yesterday and how awful you must feel.

I'm checking signs on stop signs too. I contacted the HOA in the neighborhood and the webmaster is going to post something for a couple of weeks. I really hope I find her. I really miss her and I feel terrible that she is out there somehwere.

We drove the neighborhood again last night w/ no luck. I've been out today taking my kids (I have little kids) to school and I've kept on the lookout.

Someone found her and kept her overnight. As I was on my way into town there was a sign on the stop sign. The family isn't home, but I 've called and left them on a note on the door!
