Well, the ants are temporarily under control but I have a new problem. I was just out in the backyard doing the scooping, and noticed that there are hundreds of little holes, about the diameter of a pencil eraser, in the yard, mostly in the muddy areas. They have little piles of dirt around the outside. I assume they are some sort of flying insect but the holes look too small to be bumblebee holes. Any idea what they might be and if so, how can I eradicate the varmints?

That sounds likely - There's no reason to try to kill every outdoor insect! LOL

I just don't want my dogs to get stung when they go outside. I think they may be earthworms! I hope so anyway.
