Need someone that has been to a show recently or is going to one in the next month or so to report if their tailgating policy is real. Nissan has always said no tailgating but never enforced it. There are many rumors going around that Jiffy Lube Live will not allow it and are strictly enforcing it this year. Thanks.

Kind of seems contrary to their name.

My daughter is going next weekend to WMZQ Fest which is one of the biggest tailgating parties EVER.

She went last year when it was Jiffy Lube and no change in policy.

yes I went to Buffett last year and there was the usual massive tailgaiting. However, they are saying this year there will be none. Would you please report back after the one next weekend and let me know. Thanks!

I am very familiar with the PD there and how they work at these concerts. Hell, I worked a bunch there myself. The largest concerts (Jimmy B., Ozzfest and a few others would have the largest number of officers working there. This was usually around the 50-75 number give or take. They cannot arrest everyone drinking in public and they (we) never tried as long as the person was smart about it. Be of legal drinking age and keep it in cups. Drink from a bottle or can and you take your chances. The attitude of the PD was let people have fun but don't let them get away with stupid stuff. They do not want to tie officers up on arrests if at all possible.

Not allowed anymore at least per this newspaper report:

No more tailgating at Jiffy Lube Live | InsideNova

Based on that article I don't think I would try the tail gaiting there any longer. Even if the PD doesn't nab you I would imagine plain clothes security will be in the lot and they can evict the person from the place and no refunds would be given on the tickets.

Based on these reports, my daughter has cancelled her plans for WMZQ fest. She was buying a ticket at the door so no loss on the ticket.

Just curious. Because of the no tail gaiting policy?
