We lost power from 1:30 am to 10:30 am or so. A tree in our front yard lost some major branches, but I'm not surprised--it's been dead for years, but our landlords aren't keen on removing it for some reason.

Walked all around the neighborhood this morning, and didn't see anything but small branches on peoples' lawns.

We lost power for about 12 hours. And, while most of our neighborhood was unscathed, a giant oak tree came down in one yard, and pretty much totaled two cars in a driveway.

No loss of power. Some leaves and a few sticks in the backyard and I straightened my tomato plants. Nothing more than a strong thunderstorm wouldn't do.

No loss of power in Cascades as far as I know. A few tree branches were down, but we didn't see any other signs of damage. We stopped at Costco and I noted they had plenty of milk and other such staples on hand. I forgot to check the oreos, though.

Today is a gorgeous day, and I think just about everyone is out taking a walk.

Sorry to hear about that, hope they weren't your cars.

No - they weren't. Ours were in the garage!

Did anyone save their receipt?

What am I suppose to do with all this bottled water, cans of processed spaghetti and junk food....?

I must have lost all of my receipts in panic.

The power flickered off for a couple times last night.. no biggie. What was more annoying were the near-constant calls from my parents and my SO's mother asking if we were all right. I guess their concern was reasonable, given the many severe injuries we sustained in the earthquake. (I know, I know, the hurricane/associated flooding could've been a big deal, even though the earthquake wasn't.)
