A true story...when I lived further south one of my younger male coworkers forgot it was Halloween--when the kids came to the door he ran into the kitchen and grabbed the only individual packets of stuff he had: packets of instant cheese grits. He said the kids just stood there with their mouths open.

Childhood obesity isn't caused by one night of trick-or-treating.

One guy around here gives out toothbrushes (guess his profession).

Another person puts up a big sign that says, "Hallelujah, not Halloween." They give out religious pamphlets to anyone stupid enough to ring their doorbell.

Maybe hand out candy to the skinny kids but fruit and oatmeal to the fat kids. Would that be offensive?
