It's been about 3 years since we redid our downstairs room but we used S&D Improvements and were very please with them. I have since referred a co-worker who was very happy with thier exerience as well. Here is their website

We used Tom Sachek to finish our basement this fall. It was completely unfinished. He was reliable and experienced and did good work. I found him affordable. He subs out plumbing and most drywall, and did basic electrical himself. We did not have him paint, as we had another painter we knew. He can be reached at (703)753-3328. No website or email address.
