hi

i recently received a reckless driving ticket in the mecklenburg county,VA, for speeding 85 on a 65 mph road. i have a TX license.

can any one please let me know how to deal with this sitution.is there any way i could have the penalty reduced from a reckless driving to a speeding ticket, by hiring an attorney in mecklenburg area,,please help ....

Thank God you have a non Virginia driver's license; at least you will not have to pay those obscene fines that Va. license holders ger stuck with for the same offense.

If you want to get the charges reduced your best bet is to hire an attorney! You can defend yourself, but you will probably get stuck with the Reckless! Whatever you decide to do, attorney or not...just pay the fine, and slow down in VA--VA is wick when it comes to traffic violations!!

The infraction will most likely not be reported to Texas DMV, so your insurance company most likely never know about it. This has been the case for quite some time now in VA, but with all the rigid traffic laws that's been implemented, that may not be the case anymore.
