Hi all,

A neighbor lost her beloved dog in Prince William Park on Monday. The whole family has been searching daily and has been using every means to try to find him. I wanted to post something here, because you NEVER know how things can happen. Here's the info (I've never added a photo before and hope this works!):

Thanks in advance for trying to help!

He looks like a sweet boy - I sure hope they find him.

A dog trainer of mine once gave me a tip. On all of your pet's identification collars, make sure you put "Needs Medication". This wasy, if someone finds your pet, they are less likely to be the type of person who ends up keeping your pet (isntead of finding the owner). Most people won't want to deal with medical issues. And, if they ever ask what type of medication they need, you can always answer "heartworm prevention".

I'm not overly close to the park but am close to Dumfries. I'll keep a look out. At least he's a unique looking dog. I hope they find him. I was walking in that park once and some people had let their dog go off leash. Yeah, the dog ran off and they couldn't find him. So heartbreaking.

Thank god it's not too hot, the weather's nice, etc.

Default Update: The Dog was Found!

I wanted to report the happy news that my neighbor's dog was found early yesterday morning about 6 miles away from the Park, on someone's front porch - playing with the homeowner's cats!

"Jake" was a bit skinnier, with raw paws, but otherwise fine. He's been home, and bathed, and sleeping a LOT, and sticking to my neighbor like glue.

Thanks to everyone who sent +++ vibes his way!
