Would greatly appreciate any recommendations for cities/neighborhoods to move to in NOVA.

Wishlist:
Safe neighborhood
Great schools
about 1/2 hour (maybe up to 45 minutes) commute to Ballston/Arlingtion area
would like to keep rent around $3,000 but willing to be flexible to be in a safe area with great schools.

Many Thanks for any help!

How many bedrooms?

Do you want a single-family house?

Do you want land, a suburb, or a more urban feel?

What are your family's interests?

We are flexible, could be a single family or town house, it would be nice to have something of a yard since we have dogs.

At least 3 bedrooms would be great.

We lean more towards suburbs but are open to urban

We have a lot of interests and plan on taking advantage of all the wonderful things the DC area has to offer.

Our main concerns are safe neighborhood, great schools and not spending hours commuting to Ballston/Arlington.

Thank you for your input!

Try the Vienna or Oakton area. Vienna is a small town mixed in the hustle and bustle on NOVA. Schools are great and I believe rent would be doable. Oakton is a neighbor of Vienna but close together.

Perhaps Falls Church. It's closer to Ballston and has many very nice areas. I'm guessing you could rent a house for $3K a month or so.

Thank you VADude! We have heard parts of Falls Church are nice but that we should avoid others, I'm not sure which area is which. Thanks for the input!
