We are moving from Herndon to Ashburn. Please recommend your moving company or whom to avoid. Anyone have ideas where I can get boxes for books and smaller things I plan on moving myself? Would like to get the move as smooth and cost effective as possible.
Which carpet cleaner should I use for the house I am moving out of?

Thanks for all the help and advice.

The best places to get boxes for small, heavy items like books are the ABC stores. Call one and ask them when they have their normal trash pickup. Ask if you can come and get all of the boxes.

You can look for and request to join a Freecycle group for your area. Nearly every week someone is either looking for or Freecycling moving boxes. You'll have to read the Group instructions to join/post. Try this link to get started: https://groups.freecycle.org/group/H...onVA/posts/all

Good luck with the move!
