Just curious, what's the longest/worst commute you guys have been able to stand?
Currently I'm having to commute from Fairfax to Columbia, MD and it's killing me. I have to take the beltway through Tysons and then get on 95, usually takes me at least 1.5 hours.
Luckily this is only temporary and I'll be transferring to Manassas in a couple weeks, so that should be much more bearable.

I view an hour door to do commute as about my limit. Anything longer than that gets really miserable if you have to do it on a daily basis in my opinion. That said, not all commutes are created equal and the maximum commute I've been able to tolerate also greatly depends on the job I have - longer, less predictable hours makes a long commute even more miserable whereas having set, predictable hours can make a slightly longer commute more bearable.

Manassas to Old Town Alexandria for like 2.5 years. Absolute misery.

Easily 75 to 90 minutes during rush hour.

I do 1.5 hours each way (and have been for five years) and it is doable for me. But, it's the nature of the commute, not the length that makes it bad. Mine is not (generally) stop and go traffic.

Before this commute, I did 45 minutes in stop and go...and I was MISERABLE every single day. It prompted me to move....ironically, I ended up moving about 30 miles further away from work.

Fairfax (Fair Oaks area) to NE DC. Even though majority of the journey was via Metro (i.e drive to Vienna, take Orange line to MEtro Center and transfer to Red to head on to NoVA), I definitely do not miss those days. 1.5 hours each way

Currently: Alexandria to Baltimore, but only once a week, so not too bad at all

Ashburn to NE DC has taken me 2.5 hrs before in major stop a go traffic. To put it in perspective it's only 37 miles. Just miserable. Thankfully I don't need to do it often and can generally flex my time.

Right now I'm doing Alexandria to Chantilly. Mornings aren't that bad, takes maybe 35 minutes. Going home is the worst - takes about 70-90 minutes depending on weather and traffic patterns/accidents.

Worst commute was a bazillion years ago when I lived in Clinton, MD and worked on 17th and K Streets. Couldn't afford parking so I had to take public trans. First I had to drive to the commuter lot, take a yucky bus to Federal Center SW, and then Metro over to Farrugut. I just hated all the different forms of transportation. It was drudgery and the bus was slow.

My second worst commute was Clinton, MD to Crystal City. I hated the drive through Rt 1/Old Town area. Just on the brakes the whole time.

Oddly enough, my best commute has been the Woodbridge to DC commute. Granted, I am a slave to early hours, but it's really so easy.
