Anyone have a good shuttle or taxi company they have used for trips to Reagan National airport? I have not had the occasion to fly out of Reagan (or Dulles) since moving here, so just trying to find a good, reliable taxi or shuttle company to use. At the moment, I'm probably leaning towards using the Super Shuttle ExecuCar service, but not sure if others have good/bad experiences with them or other operators. Thanks.

I always use Washington Flyer for Taxi to the airport. They are never late (yet). How far is your house to the airport?

Red Top Cab has always been reliable for me.

Uber would be the cheapest. Or taking the bus to the blue line would be cheaper.

I should also specify that my pick-up time is probably going to be pretty early on a weekday morning as my flight leaves around 8:30 am. I looked at bus to Metro, and that would just be a little too much - I'm not dragging suitcases and carryons down my street at 5 in the morning, not to mention the fact that I'd actually have to transfer to a different bus to get to the Metro station. I have thought that a taxi to the Franconia-Springfield Metro would be cheapest option, but I worry about taxi companies having a hard time finding a driver to do such a short trip, particularly early in the morning. Honestly, I worry about taxi companies finding a driver to show up on time early in the morning regardless of how long the trip is going to be, but maybe I am colored a bit too much by my past experiences in other cities.

OP, you can book Red Top Cab online in advance. Cabs are more expensive than your other options, but given the worries that you seem to have about this, and that you will have luggage, I think I would pay the extra amount to take me from home to the airport if I were you. You can offset the cost by cutting out a few lattes :-).

Uber is the answer. I've used it for early flights out of Reagan and I live near Dulles.

I second Red Top. I've had great experiences with them being there early, even helping with the bags.

Uber is probably the best because you will get someone in your area that will show up to get you and you can see how far away they are too.

With regular cab companies you don't know how far away they are and there is not much of a guarantee when/if they will actually show up. I do not like yellow top cab I have had them not even show up. Red top is the best option here.

Regular shared super shuttle will be the cheapest, but probably also the longest route unless you lucky enough to be the last stop before the airport.
