Have any of you had any experience with or using the Leased Government Housing program through the Army Corp of Engineers?

I do not have any experience with it, but it seems like a cool idea. I do believe that you would have to be at least one hour commute wise from base housing. I know in this area, Ft Belvoir does have housing options so that probably would not put you past the hour mark. I can only speak from doctor experience with military in this area. They do not take traffic and actual drive time into account. So for instance we live in Gainesville, but have to see doctors in Bethesda or Ft Belvoir, even though they take over an hour to get to those locations, it is under 30 miles on the the map. I'm interested to see if others have used the program and there information.

What do you mean? The program is for finding a rental for someone, the way I understand it. Or are you asking what is the benefit to the homeowner, to participate in allowing the home to be rented out under this program?
