I get the big HS thing, but I have family that moved from NoVA to Westchester county and it's just not the same thing here with respect to living in a "town". Given the remarks about Falls Church I would opt for the bigger school in Vienna. Your kids have a better chance of finding the kids they click with than in a smaller school.

Thank you for your help everyone. We couldn't find a house within our price range in FCC but did find a nice one in Vienna. We move in August and are looking forward to our new lives in VA.

Falls Church city is nice but the taxes are very high here. Next-door McLean has equal or better schools but lower taxes.
