I received an offer for a job in the Sterling area. I have to move in the next month. I did some preliminary research and it seems there are many areas within distance of Sterling.

I am single so a 1 bedroom would be preferable with rent around $1,500. I would prefer that my commute be 30 minutes or less. Any advice given would be helpful.

You can get a one bedroom at that price pretty easily right there in Sterling. Herndon and perhaps Reston would be good alternatives. It's really hard for us to help you unless you give us some more information other than your budget though. What's important to you in the area you live?

I prefer to live in nice quiet areas that is still within distance of grocery stores and restaurants. I have no interest in nightlife and I own a car so transportation is not a problem. Thanks.

Manassas might do the trick in that case.

Why would you recommend a location over 30 minutes away when Sterling, itself, and every other location in between, meet the requirements?
