Very close to where Jermantown dead ends into Rt 29, there use to be (still could be) a Loews Design Center (at least I thought it was Lowes). So either it's gone or I remembered the wrong name. It is not coming up on Google or Maps. It was to the right of Haverty's and to the left of Big Lots. I just tried a virtual walk down 29 and cannot see thru the trees.

Anyone know if it's still there?

TIA

I thinking of that upscale Home Depot that was there many years ago. I forget what it was called. That store is gone.

It was called Expo Design Center - A Home Depot Company.....and it closed in 2009 or 2010 (I'm sure some City-Data nerd will swoop in and white knight you with a specific date soon).

The site is now a Wal-Mart and Big Lots.

Home Depot announced in early 2009 that all 34 Expo Design Center outlets would close within two months. Fallout from the Great Recession. From my perspective, it was a nice place to do research and get ideas from. Never bought much of anything there though.
