Former resident using my address (apartment, attorney, house)

Former res using me address, Ive lived here over 4 years. I got letters from the DMV, when I brought them in to prove he didn't live here, they didn't know what to do. I've received university packs in the post for the guy to prove he lived here, reported it to my USPS and the uni. Did nothing. Now getting letters about reckless driving on his dl. With my address on it. What can I do? Thanks

Mark it "Return to Sender/ Does Not Live Here" and put back in the mail. Then forget about it and move on with your day.

Exactly. We had the same thing for, I think, a deadbeat neighbor we didn’t know who had used our address instead of hers. Bills, local/state treasury notices, child protective services notices, etc. All were marked Return to sender with a big arrow to the return address. In our case I wrote Did not/never lived at this address. Eventually they stopped.

Doesnt work. Tried several times. I even went yo the post office as i was getting overnighted letters for awhile. That didnt work either. He has a reckless driving problem but i never see a post w the ticket��

I suspect he kept a mailbox key. But the po wont change the key for me. Weird

Tell them you've lost the keys or they've been stolen. They'll have to change the lock.

Edited because it looks like USPS doesn't manage the locks.

And reckless tickets don't come in the mail; they are handed to you.

Man you wouldnt believe the piles of attorney adverts that appear in the mail once you get one of those tickets

Mark return to sender. I've been here in this house 6 years now. Previous owner deceased. And she still gets mail delivered here almost weekly.
