That’s funny, a girl asked me one Saturday when I was out in DC, “Why don’t you guys approach us anymore when we come out?” She was about 33, Vietnamese descent, but probably born in the US.

Blame it on liberal pc hogwash that has emasculated young men into using dating apps, where the odds are stacked significantly against them.

I am in my 70's and still cold approach women.

Uh, are there even any good spots in Old Town? I usually go to Clarendon honestly. And Clarendon is OK but DC is where it's really at.

If you’re 22 and have moved here with 15 of your best college friends, all at the same time, with whom you shared the same UVA frat/sorority, and won’t go out without them, then Clarendon is definitely the place for you.

In the A Town days, Ballston had a lot of that same crap.

Liberal PC to use dating apps? I seriously think that certain types of people will blame ANYTHING on politics. Please continue to cold approach those ol’ ladies. Show ‘me how it’s done!

Looks like he is.…

My problem is when I run into people who ask stuff like “does anybody ever meet anybody*not on the apps*anymore?”

*shrug* no I don’t see (straight) people meeting at bars and hooking up the way they did even a decade ago. Women feel safer being able to use an app to filter potential suitors.

I will say that places where seating is limited means that people are more likely to mingle vs. camping out at tables for hours.

OMG, it has been years but Rock It grill used to have a karaoke crowd that brought a lot of women. I am not sure about now. Then later I would walk down King street to some bar on the second floor of some building and it was pretty hopping and had singles.
