Well they certainly put the Teslsa super chargers in the right spot. I routinely commute thru Vienna on my way to Tysons and never fail to see at least 2-3 Teslas each day coming and going.
How long does it take to fill up/top off one of those things anyway?

I think it’s about 15-20 minutes to charge 50% if it drained. A Tesla owner could add info from personal experience.

The charging times depend on the model and size of batteries, but anything from 10 to 30 minutes to go to 80%. Then the charging tapers down and it takes longer.
That being said, that's an odd location for a supercharger. Most tesla owners charge at home, it's more convenient and cheaper. The superchargers are better located by highways. Why would they want to deal with Vienna traffic in order to charge the car, if you can do it at the convenience of your house? I doubt they'll go for the subs 😊. That location doesn't make much sense to me.

They have a standalone store in Adams Morgan on the same block I get my West African fix from. I'm still not sure what Wawa is but will have to check it out one of these days.

WaWa chopped down several Oak Trees that were not on the company’s property, claiming that they were given permission to do so by the town’s arborist. These trees acted as protection trees for the neighborhood. This is devastating for the residents of Vienna. My heart goes out to them.

Even if the trees are replaced, it will take 5+ years to recreate the buffer. How did we get to a place where a mistake of this magnitude could be made in our county? Who sees beautiful Oak Trees that have been around longer than they have and thinks, “Oh I’ll just cut these down even though they’re not on my property”? WTF.

Vienna residents upset after WaWa cut down several hundred year old oak trees

Fortunately, Vienna is working on making sure this never happens again.
