I know for about 2 years now many Shoppers locations have been closing in Fairfax County and Sourhern Maryland. But Shoppers hasn’t said anything on the Shoppers locates further our in PWC, and Stafford County. And I’m betting the company just wants to get them off their hands cause of COVID. So can anybody comment on what’s happening with the rest of the stores.

I shop at their Lorton location frequently. I chat with the cashiers once in a while and none of them have any idea when the store will close or be sold to another grocery chain. The pharmacy closed a long time ago but nothing else looks like its changed.

There's only one left in PWC, and one left in Stafford. Three are left in Fairfax, and the rest are in MD.

I would imagine they're still trying to get rid of them as quickly as possible. Probably hard to sell in the current climate though. Retailers aren't in expansion mode right now.

It will be a miracle if Shoppers survives 2020. Any offer that allows United Natural Foods Incorporated to divest Shoppers could be considered and accepted.
