I too would try to stay as close to the Beltway as possible and maybe as well to some westbound arteries such as Route-50, I-66, or I-267. There are some areas just outside the Beltway from Dunn Loring through Merrifield and on down toward Annandale that could be a good fit in that regard...

I'd recommend Ashburn, South Riding, Aldie, Cascades and possibly Centerville or Fairfax. Good luck!
