Since there seems to be some confusion about Reston, here are some photos to help people get an idea of what that part of NOVA is like:

This bridge connects the Lake Anne shopping Plaza to the walk around the lake and residential neighborhoods. The trail is famous for having several modern art sculptures along it.

Typical office park in late March.

Azaleas near Sunrise Valley Road.

Heron on lake next to the Freddie Mac Building.

More azaleas, they're everywhere in the spring

more photos of Reston:

This pond is part of an apartment complex near Trader Joes. (They might be townhouses, I'm not sure.)

Fountain at Town Center

The plaza boat launch at Lake Anne. There are also sandy boat launches that serve the neighborhoods around the lake. Town houses to the left won an architectural award in the 1960s.

This office park is actually in Herndon, the town next door. But it's fairly typical of the area.

Lake Anne Shopping Plaza

Typical SFH neighborhood. This is North Reston, somewhat near Trader Joes.

My photos are mostly of North Reston and the Lake Anne area, but Reston also has plenty of tall office buildings and upscale condo towers near RTC and along 267. Anyone want to share photos of the "urban side" of Reston?

Here are a few of my photos taken in Reston - most in my backyard near the Walker Nature Center.
