We are a family of 4 transferring to Northern VA this June, and we're looking for a house to rent in Fairfax Station/Lorton in Crosspointe, Barrington, Laurel Hills, South Run Oaks or other neighborhood feeding into South County SS. I'm not coming up with many option on the "traditional" sites. I'm hoping that I'm just looking too early and that there will be more available later in the Spring. If anyone knows of a rental house coming open in the May-July 2009 time frame, please drop me a line. Thanks!

If you check the Long & Foster real estate site, and look for rentals in Fairfax Station and Lorton, you will come across at least a few 3-4 bedroom houses for rent in the South County SS district. You can double check the accuracy of the school information by entering the address in the FCPS boundary locator:http://boundary.fcps.edu/boundary/

Good luck.

I am not sure if militarybyowner.com is on your list of "traditional" sites or not so am posting it just in case. It may be just a bit early for a PCS rental listing but hard to tell. Some of the folks I work with who are leaving this summer have been talking to in bound folks to sent up rentals so you may want to try that as well.
