Rumors of hazing on sports teams (South County H.S., etc.) have been going around too. Where's the leadership?

Good. Where are the parents?

Does that make it right? Discriminating against gays isn't anything new either.

I agree tankdude--this is the parents' fault. Yes, the leadership may have looked the other way, but at the end of the day, you are responsible for your child's actions. I don't mean that in a condescending manner, I'm just stating the facts as I see them. If you need assistance, then get some counseling, talk to your spiritual leader, etc., but don't just sit there and watch the problem unravel.

I agree. I'm sure the parents will be consulting lawyers, screaming "But you'll ruin her chances of getting into college on a soccer scholarship!", and dismissing it all as "typical youthful behavior". The responsible-parent thing to do is say "I told you not to, you knew it was wrong, and here's the consequences of it." And then get the kid a job at McD's for a year to let them know what life will be like if they keep making such bad judgements.

Yep, good for the school!

School is for learning, not playing soccer.

Hmm... How much would you like to bet that one of these same parents actually bought the alcohol?

This is true. Party happened at one of the player's homes. Any news if there will be any charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor?

I agree...where are the parents? It's their responsibility to teach the kids.

A few years back there was a case where under age drinking was going on at one of the kid's homes...with the parents there. One kid died that night. You can't even trust your kids' friend's parents.
