O.K. the media does overhype - most of the news is so biased I hardly believe anything they report anymore - but I know one thing - if there ever was something really serious to look out for it would be downplayed - the media is just a pawn nowadays

Heh Heh

They got no other stories they can hype so much.
WTF are they going to talk about? Pontiac? Gas prices?

Nah, thats boring.

Killer Flu (which killed ZERO in developed nations) - is way more interesting topic.

Actually, I agree with both Farfax Mom and VEIK. Both of you are saying that the media plays games. You know what's really interesting? Arlen Specter switches parties and just that easily the Killer Flu is not the big story.

If the flu was really as scary as they were making it sound this weekend, a party change would be 2nd page news.

What? Is Specter a Republican now??? LOL.

We've got allergies and Pinkeye at my house (got the antibiotic drops today). To top things off, our AC picked this weekend to die so we had to have the windows wide opened until we got it fixed. Now there's freakin' tree pollen all over the place. On the tables, in the carpet, in the drapes. Yuck.

I've been watching the news stories about the swine flu just to get my mind off of my miseries....

My husband reports actually seeing someone wearing a surgical mask on the Orange Line today. A little much, methinks.

My allergies have been acting up a lot lately. This morning I started sneezing while I was on the Metro. Guy in the seat in front of me got up and moved to the other side of the car. True story.

I'm really starting to sneeze today, too. Mother Nature's a tease--where's all that rain we were promised? I want a good soaker to wash all this pollen away.

Oh brother, what good will that do? Right now a mask will just collect pollen, and he's literally tying a cloth full of pollen right next to his mouth.
