Does anyone know of apartment buildings/complexes in or within walking distance to the old town section of fairfax?

Thanks!

I would look into Providence Park apartments, off Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) between the courthouse and GMU. Also, on Main Street (Route 236) is the Fairfax Square complex with rental apartments and townhouses. In the immediate vicinity of the Old Town section, there are multi-unit buildings, but they're condos, so you would have to look for a rental via a real estate agency as opposed to an on-site management company.

There's another complex, Layton Hall Apartments, off Old Lee Highway, behind the Courthouse Plaza Shopping Center, but they are old, and don't look to be the most updated or upscale apartments in the area. I would check the reviews on that complex, since there's a reason why they're inexpensive, IMO. Similarly, on the west side of town, on Main Street, Oak Knolls is an older apartment community that's not always the highest rated.

We stayed at Fairfax Square this summer (temporary housing) and liked it. Very convenient and yes, you can walk.
