Herndon: America's Most Obscene City | NBC Washington

This is funny! Read the article it seems to have something to do with AOL or does it?

I guess living in Herndon would make you want to cuss a lot.

Maybe citizens of Herndon heard those naughty words in DC then came home to google them to see what they meant

Hahaha, Herndon and Reston are duking it out to see who can google cuss words the most. Are we a bunch of tech corridor IT nerds or what!

I loved the Restonian's explanation:

Restonian, on the other hand, has a more plausible explanation. "They claimed they were doing this because such statistics can play a role in obscenity trials, but we all know they really started typing cuss words into a search engine for the same reason scientists strap missiles to dolphins -- because it's fun."

Thanks for the thread, it's good to have something to chuckle over on a grey, rainy day.

Herndon had the record... yesterday. You want to know what I think? I think those guys over in the buildings on Sunrise Valley won't take this sitting down. I'm willing to bet those wiley Restonians surged ahead today.

You know, for as frustrated as I get living in Reston I still NEVER curse. You'll get "gosh darnit" or "son of a....preacher man" out of me, but I suppose I was raised better than to just casually drop the f-bomb left and right like people down here seem to love to do. I suppose I'm a young Ned Flanders.
