Thanks I appreciate it!
What kind of diversity are you looking for? I know that there are people of all ages, and races, at McLean Bible but it looks like most are white. What races are you looking for? Many of the religiously conservative Blacks in NOVA go to their own Baptist and Bible churches.

McLean Bible has many, many, programs for all ages. Their youth program is very strong with lots of different activities. The kids have a ball. They also have lots of bible classes, both on campus and at people's homes. The Pastor at McLean bible, Lon Solomon, is fabulous, one of the best preachers you will ever hear. Dr. Solomon is Jewish and says so! He was also a drug dealer. Lon Solomon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It's a very interesting wiki page.

What is the style of worship at MBC? Do some people lift hands during worship? Is it contemporary? Any charismatic style worship?

McLean bible seems to have mostly contemporary services, with bands and such. I don't think they lift hands but I must admit that I don't know what means.

Lifting hands is what many people do during worship. It is seen in most Pentecostal and charismatic churches, but increasingly in many other churches too today.

You can of course make your own determination but a friend of mine left this church because of this statement taken directly from their website.

Quote:
We teach, in this respect, that God the Holy
Spirit is sovereign in the bestowing of all His
gifts (I Corinthians 12:11) for the perfecting of
the saints today (I Corinthians 14:12). We teach
that the confirming sign gifts (speaking in tongues
{intelligible languages}, interpretation, healing,
and working of sign miracles) were evangelistic
gifts in the beginning days of the Church for the
purpose of confirming the Gospel message
(I Corinthians 14:22a; II Corinthians 12:12;
Hebrews 2:3-4), and were not intended by God
to be part of normative church worship and service
.

Huh, well I guess they are not a charismatic or what many would call a "Spirit-filled church." I guess it is not a church for me then.
