I'm someone that really never gets sick. I've been hit w/horrible nasal "stuff" - called doc. to see if it was okay to use OTC nasal spray more than three days - she had me come in since I've been short of breath. Bottom line: it's all "head/sinus" stuff - so hard to tell whether it's allergy or cold or a combination. I was wondering if anyone else has had issues - I do have to spend time working in some stores and they are overheated and dry - BUT! a loser sat next to me on the Metro last Friday and he was sniffling, coughing, hacking, etc. - really annoyed me because it was not crowded, he was a younger guy, he only was on for a few stops - he had to sit with me because????

I'm very sick right now myself, to the point of being banished from a lot of my regular activities (that's actually why I'm spending so much time on city-data). Part of what's making me sick is sinus problems, so I can relate. I don't think it's allergies, but it might be a reaction to the sudden temperature drops and rain we've been having.

Hope you feel better soon. Drinking lots of hot water seems to help.

Run a coldmist (not a warm mist) humidifier at night- that will help all day. I have a duracraft I got from iallergy-I've seen the same brand in kmart.

As someone with allergy and sinus issues, I can attest that simple dry winter weather can cause stuffiness and discomfort. Also, if you have indoor allergies, they're going to impact you more with a greater # of hrs. exposure per day. By any chance do you have a Christmas tree in your house? Artificial ones can hold a lot of dust while cut or live trees can bring mold indoors.
