"The sound of crickets will be heard when the last liberal leaves town and turns off the lights as the conservatives come roaring to power."

Hardly.

" Half of the bureaucracy will be told to pack its bags."

I doubt it. Not even the tea partiers can identify which PROGRAMS they want to eliminate.

" Traffic jams will be eliminated."
Hmm. How?

"The massive power line project, tabled (no need for clown car power). "

I don't think electric demand growth here is mainly driven by plug in electrics. And plug in electrics are almost certain to increase in number anyway.

"Taxes will be reduced as the conservatives demand less services. "

Consies dont demand less services.

"Drilling will begin offshore in Virginia as gas prices get reduced. "

Drilling may happen, but thats too small to materially effect gas prices, which are determined by world oil prices.

"Michiganders, Californians, Pennsylvanians, New Yorkers, etc., will return to their home states in pursuit of new jobs created thanks to the conservatives."

Employment WILL continue to increase, and almost certainly the UE rate will decrease. Consie pundits and pols will attribute this to the 2010 election. Economists who disagree will be derided as socialists.

" The sounds of crickets will return in China as we rebuild our industrial might."

We are most likely to rebuild our industrial might due to a lower dollar values, following from quantitative easing, which consies mostly oppose.

Either way China will continue to grow as an industrial power. We arent a big enough piece of their market that we would stop that even if we imported nothing from them, and we are not likely to import nothing from them, even if we rebalance the terms of trade.

... well that prediction did get one thing right: I heard a lot of crickets this year! Crickets and lightning bugs really put on a show this summer.

I sure hope that the town of Wegmans is somewhere in Western Loudoun, north east of Leesburg would be perfect.

My big prediction, a fairly easy one, Republicans will win big in November. They will take back the House and come close to having a majority in the Senate. Frank Wolf will win in a landslide, again.
Wow, I surprise myself at how accurate I was. haha I am totally loving Wegmans and Frank Wolf's big win!

This year, more of the same, another big win for republicans and another new Wegmans, this one near Frederick, MD.
