There's nothing wrong with small businesses that provide valued services. Too bad that Greedy rich businessmen or landlords always seem to ruin it. At least we still have a few local spots like Mario's Pizza on Wilson Blvd and Royal Restaurant in Old Town

No, thats my point! How long do we have to wait? If you read my previous posts I said that landmark was a poorly run mall. I have noticed that most (not all) good malls do not end up like Landmark. The reason that that the mall was bought out is a result of a mall gone downhill! Do you think that a thriving mall with many profitable stores would have quietly agreed to a buyout? Were there any objections?

The company that owned Landmark went bankrupt. That's the reason for the buyout. They were a large company and the bankruptcy had nothing to do with Landmark itself.
If they want to convert the mall to something else, they have to let leases run out so the mall can empty.

Our bankruptcy laws are pitiful. It seems like every time a big comapny files bankruptcy they come back with the same "ol crap under a new name.

I also saw that short story on Channel 4 - IF (and that's the big one, depends on the economy) - it goes through after the company emerges from b/k in two weeks - construction should be around 2012.
