Hello I am thinking about buying a condo from M/I Homes . I would like to know if anyone has any problems in this community and are the amenities as wonderful as they look. Also has anyone bought a home from M/I homes? Is this a nice community? How well are the exterior aesthetics maintained? When are the HOA and Condo Coop fees due? Would you recommend this community? Please be honest, thank you for your time.

I used to be a sales manager for Pulte Homes at Potomac Club. My only word of caution is this...part of the community is going to be rental apartments.

Their condo/HOA fees are wayyy too high. I think they vary depending on what builder you go with, but they are in the range of 300 a month. Ouch. Even if you used the clubhouse/gym every day, that is steep. Proximity to Wegman's and Potomac Mills is a big plus, but with so many units in that neighborhood, it might be a little overcrowded in there shortly.

Thanks, I ended up getting a townhome in Lake Ridge for A LOT less and $450 a year HOA.

I would stick with Lake Ridge as well. Even though the immediate Potomac Club area (Wegmen's) is nice, the outer areas (Dumfries and Rt.1 Woodbridge) is... "interesting".

I purchased at Potomac Club and I LOVE IT. The builder M/I homes is great and I would buy from them again. Community is great and I like the HOA to be some what high as it keeps out the riff raff. I am a happy home buyer in this community.

Just curious, are there mostly families living in the potomac club or singles as well...?
I'm a 30 yr old single female, very much interested in purchasing either a town home or a condo.

Presently I live 10 minutes outside of DC. Although I work in DC (around the capitol hill area) I wouldn't mind commuting. I notice that everything in the area is very expensive... also the value appears to be far less (i.e. less space and amenities).

I did find a few condos in the Alexandria area.. but they were small and the condo fees were still a bit high (350+).

I'd greatly appreciate any info you can provide in reference to the Potomac club. I've already viewed the website, and looked at the online virtual tour.

I love the layout and the amenities seem great. Not to mention, it really seems tucked away from everything...

I'm just not certain if this community is the right fit for me, since I'm single w/o children.

Perhaps I'm wrong? Maybe this community is single friendly .
