I was wondering too where you were, Normie! Glad to see you back on here, you were missed for sure by a lot of folks.

C--looks like the forecast is slowing and calming down a little. You should be able to squeak out of here right before the storm hits. Have a good trip.
Thank you it worked! My 2 1/2 year old HAD to go to preschool today. I needed a break in a big way!

Here's a good weather blog/journal by Kevin Myatt. He tells what's out there and the various scenarios of what might be coming up.

The Weather Journal: Weather news, information and explanation from The Roanoke Times’ Kevin Myatt - Roanoke.com (http://blogs.roanoke.com/rtblogs/weatherjournal/ - broken link)

It's not just Roanoke, he looks at the big picture.

Woohoo looks like the snow missed us. I saw a few flakes/flurries yesterday but that's it.

March is pretty notorious for also providing some significant snowfalls in this area. You're really not "safe" here until the end of March.

From what I'm reading on various weather based message boards, they missed it by a week. They are looking at models that can give us a big one next week.

Yes there has been some snows in March, but no real big ones after March 15th... Am I forgetting a late March snowstorm?

Late March = Safe

So, no, no big, late March snowstorms.
