I moved from California to Reston in August. Reston is a nice little community but too far out in the booneys for my liking. My lease will expire in mid-April, already gave my 60 day notice and do not know what neighborhoods to look into for a rental condo or apartment. I have a nice car so would prefer a garage or underground parking. I work in Mclean, although I will be looking for a better job soon, my church is in Mclean and my only family member lives in Arlington. I am a crunchy blonde single 40 yr old if that is useful info. I do like outdoor paths and parks but not my biggest consideration since I have a car and also use public transportation. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

Urban dictionary:

Quote:
crunchy
Adjective. Used to describe persons who have adjusted or altered their lifestyle for environmental reasons. Crunchy persons tend to be politically strongly left-leaning and may be additionally but not exclusively categorized as vegetarians, vegans, eco-tarians, conservationists, environmentalists, neo-hippies, tree huggers, nature enthusiasts, etc.

Also used to describe establishments where alternative foods and products are sold, i.e. natural food stores.

Modified derivative of granola.
"I need more crunchy guys in my life. I'm so tired of dating preppy metrosexual a*******."
I think Arlington could be a good fit. Most of the high rise buildings have underground parking (you'll pay for it, of course, but it's available), and there's a lot of "crunchiness" if you look for it. Just stay away from the main strip (Wilson/Clarendon) where a lot of the straight out of college kids live, and I think you could be quite happy there.

Where'd you move from in Southern California? I grew up in Santa Barbara

I am interested in the Mclean condo. How much is the rent and how much longer on the lease? If you give the street address, I will drive by in the morning on the way to work.
