I looked through TheBus website, but I couldn't find clarification on this...when it says an annual pass is good for the "calendar year" it's bought in, does that mean I'd have to wait until 01/01/11 to get a 2011 pass? Or if I bought one 12/14/10, would it be good til 12/14/11?

I'm just concerned about wasting half of the $60 on a monthly pass that I'll only use for two weeks of December before it becomes invalid. And I'll need an annual pass as soon as possible, preferring not to wait until January 1st.

Sorry, I know this seems ridiculous, it's just kind of integral to my plans at the moment. And TheBus lacking a customer service e-mail address, this is cheaper than calling Hawaii to find out. Thanks to anybody who can help me!

Simply call them and find out. 808.848.4444

If $30 will be that important to you, you probably should not be moving to Honolulu.

Thanks...yep, I found the number, but they're closed on weekends, and a kindly soul familiar with annual passes taking pity on me saves me the cost of a long distance call.

So you're saying pennypinching *isn't* a good survival trait for Hawaii? No worries, I'm going to more than well off enough...I can afford to ship my car, (and will have several thousand bucks with me on top of my new job out there), I'd just prefer to go without if the bus will work. I'm simplifying!

So any kindly, pitying bus experts out there?
