The Bishop Museum is very interesting. Easy to spend a day there, and it's fairly close to you.

+1 on the Makapuu trail. Paved and only has a couple places close to the edge. It is a good 2.5 miles though.

I allways recomend Mission Houses Museum. I feel it is often overlooked but it is great look into one period of Hawaiian history. The used to also do a downtown tour where you got a lot of history in that area of town.
