I'm looking for a place that might have discounted rates for someone with no income right now and no health insurance. I actually have a claim open with Labor and Industries (out of state) but I'm having a terrible time finding a provider that will work with me.

I just had back surgery 3 weeks ago and can't find an attending provider. If they were willing to take me on as a patient all the Doctor has to do is fill out a one page application to get a provider number.

Anyone know of any clinics out there where I could visit? I've tried Concentra already and it was a no go.

Hopefully there is a nurse out there or someone that works in the medical field that might have some tips for me.

Thanks,

Before my health insurance kicked in I went to Kahala Urgent Care. They offer a discount for folks that do not have insurance, 20% I believe.

the best thing for you to do is to call around. Are you establishing residency or are you here temporarily? It's going to take you six months to establish residency in order to apply for Quest Services through the State. If you have an open LI claim I doubt you will receive any discounts from anyone. I'm sure you can submit your expenses to them after paying upfront here.

I used to work for HMSA, I know they have online care. You can search HMSA online and read about it. You can choose to chat with a doctor, or phone call. With no insurance it is $45 and the doctors can advise and prescribe. Will not work for narcotics of course, but it is a nice option for other things. They do web cam too. I had great success with them when I used them.
