Specific Traffic Ino Request Honolulu to Hickam (Ewa Beach: apartments, home)

Y'all,

I have been pouring over threads and have been finding a lot of info on traffic. My question is a bit more specific.

I have found several apartments near the Regal Dole Theater that would save me money.

How is westbound traffic to Hickam from the theater?

I am military and am single. Living on base is not permitted.

I've not done it, but worked with a couple of folks who lived in Makiki and in Kaimuki and they indicated their drives to Camp Smith were fairly easy with very few delays. It shouln't be too different going to Hickam. However I suspect street traffic in that part of town near the theater would be problematic just getting to the freeway. Going home may be hellish.

Just moved here. Stayed at K-bay temporarily (Cabanas are cheap but... not the most luxurious).

Moved to Ewa Beach Saturday and the gray boat shuttle is a God-send.

Just a thought.

(You're single and don't qualify for billeting? You must be dragging someone with you! )

Hey Congrats you made it! So Ewa Beach? I enjoyed the area. We were in Ocean Pointe.
