By the way...I *just* noticed I kind of butchered the park name: it's Kokololio of course

And to Hunterseat and anyone else: My cousin randomly got a hold of me and said he saw my post on the Oahu SPCA Facebook page regarding this, and offered to match my $50 'thank you'. If SPCA is a 501c3, his employer can also match my donation to them (and if they aren't a 501c3, I'll up my offer instead)...so $100 to you and $100 to SPCA.

Apparently it's now a family affair!

Is this the Chihuahua?

"The Chihuahua that caused quite a traffic jam on H-1 Eastbound Thursday morning has finally been reunited with his owner.
After a difficult 20-minute chase with police, the chihuahua-mix was caught and brought to the Hawaii Humane Society. The dog did not have a micro-chip or any identification on his collar at the time.
A friend of the owner recognized the dog after seeing it on the news and immediately contacted the owner, resulting in a heart warming reunion.

That's amazing if it is the same dog, he can really cover ground. And feisty.

I actually watched this unfold live on TV- massive traffic backup - was live on KGMB/KHNL starting about 645 local time - motorcycle cops and of course - scared the heck out of the dog - about 20+ minutes, they finally got a collar on it - turned out ok but could have turned out not so good.....

I actually was reading about that yesterday too...made national headlines!!

I thought it might be one and the same, but sadly it's not - I watched the video and this one was way too dark and the report said there was no tag on its collar...but the dog I found didn't have a collar and was a medium to light brown.

I'll up the offer one more time...if anyone can take a look at the park for it and bring it to safety...$150 to you and $100 to SPCA (or no-kill shelter of your choice).

Please spread the word if you can't go...maybe a friend nearby or someone you know willing to look this weekend!

Hate I got your hopes up. I'm fighting my own demons right now. UGH teenagers. Someone elses. Under my roof. 'nother story.

That little ol' dog has found his way into someone else's heart by now. I can tell you one thing about the people that live here. They love their little dogs! I've seen so many people pushing strollers with dogs in them it's crazy. I thought I was the only one! LOL

I definitely understand, and no worries. I sure hope so, but it's hard to relax without knowing...and because it seemed to have been there for so long (scared of human touch, fur problems, very skinny)...it's hard to imagine someone took it in after being there all that time.

If there's anyone else out there, please message me. Friends/family/someone who can take me up on the offer. We just want the pup to be safe and sound and happy.
