Aloha!! Just checking in for anyone who wonders if we survived.

We got 1 dog in cargo, 1 dog in cabin, 1 cat in cabin on the flight. 3hr layover in Seattle. 2 suitcases each.

What an odyssey. Children's liquid Benadryl is a life saver.

It's not that cold here. There's a pleasant crispness ... for a few minutes anyway. Then it's cold.

We went to the beach on Christmas day, then flew out at 9pm.

I hope I can check in every now and then because aloha is alive and well on this forum. The Atlanta folks are not embracing me but you just wait. I'll kill them with kindness! Seriously, though, it would be nice if they could give me some advice here and there. Lots of crickets chirping.

So we really miss Hawaii and have asked "WHY did we leave again?" several times. But we knew it wouldn't be more than a couple of years. We just had a decent opportunity and decided to strike while the iron's hot.

Here we go again.

Congrats on the new opportunity and happy your travels went smoothly. Is it as rainy in Hot-lanta as it is up here in West Chester, PA?
I get to blow this popsicle stand for a couple of months in late Jan 2014 when I go help out a friend on Oahu - Woo Hoo!!!

Too cool Moving!!! I know that will be a blessed break from the cold! It started raining yesterday but it's supposed to dry out tomorrow. We were told there are 3 seasons here, no real winter compared to up north in Yankee-land! Stay warm, then get out your slippers and hit the beach!!

Are you there yet? Are you there yet? Are you there yet?

I just realized why I had so many pairs of panty hose to throw out when I left CT for HI. To wear under jeans for warmth. But it's really not that cold here. I mean, 40-ish but not much colder than that. I hate how that sounds.

btw, we're trying to practice Aloha while driving and it's so funny to see the reactions when we slow down to let people merge. We see so many wrecks every day, it's crazy! Today a van flipped and another on fire. There were a couple of others... Sort of scary driving.
