Does anyone have experience with Direct or Dish in Kailua? How is the reception and tech support?

I go to The Shack in Kailua and they have DirecTV (because of NFL Sunday Ticket) - reception this time of the year is fine, and generally pretty awful in the winter/rainy season, with frozen pixels on the screen common and the dreaded, acquiring satellite signal for what seems to be an eternity.

Oh my something I hadn't thought of ....we are moving to kailua.. My husband already there and I will join him once our home sells. We have been with dish network forever and love it...so does it not work in hawaii? We had heard that satellite radio isn't available for our cars there.

Cable TV works pretty well.

As far as I know, the Sirius and XM (is it "XM"?) radio stations don't have a satellite that reaches Hawaii.

If you have Bluetooth in your car - one way to get satellite is download the app on a iPhone and use Bluetooth to stream thru the speakers.
