Was on the mainland for several months and noticed that gym memberships go down to $15/MONTH!!

I can't find anything cheaper than 24 Hour Fitness' $50/month, but they're also the only ones that post their prices online.

ANY HELP??

MAHALO

24 Hour Fitness always has specials going on. Most people don't pay list price.

Even online, a one-club membership (not the high end Super Sport Clubs) - it is $34.99 initiation and $29.99 a month for the downtown club on Bishop. Go in person and negotiate.

All my friends pay $50 a year or something ridiculous like that for their membership at 24... granted they paid a hefty $300-$600 when they first joined eons ago. It's so cheap that pseudo-homeless people would get memberships just to utilize their bathroom and air conditioned facilities every day. 24 Hour Fitness depends on 70-80% of their members giving up after the first 6 months of joining. Statistically, that actually holds true.

It's true, 24 hour is pretty much ALWAYS having a sale. Sign up for their one day free pass and they'll call you to set up a time for you to come in to use it. When you go in, before your workout, they'll walk you through the gym and sit down and show you the offers they have. I signed up for 30 bucks a month for the full year and have access to any 24 Hour fitness.

The beach and Diamond Head. Our community had a weight room and I could always use the base. That doesn't help, does it.

I paid $750 up front for $20/yr. I haven't been to the gym in 10 years and still pay$20.

There is a new gym in town --Honolulu Fitness Center which is very clean and not crowded. It is located across the Hawaii Pacific University. They are running a presale as their other facilities are still under completion. The workout area is ready for use and their equipment are new.
