Unless things have changed, the bid process is already pau, which is why the matter, at least part of it, is in court. It's sickening to see all these school buildings over here with nothing on the roofs but Arch 80.

They are doing "something" - although we can argue not nearly enough.

We moved to Mililani Mauka from California in June after years of research and we love living here. Mililani is such a wonderful place for families with young children. Our first grader goes to Mililani Mauka Elementary which does have central ac, but it's currently being repaired so hopefully it will be fixed soon. Mililani Middle school & Mililani Ike elementary also has ac. Some classrooms at Mililani High School have ac, but not all.

My 3 year old also has eczema & allergies, and since living here his eczema is much better. We no longer have to use the topical creams & oils prescribed by his derm. Hope this helps.

On Oahu the newest schools are in Kapolei (because Kapolei is the newest community), but even there not all have A/C. And having three kids of such varying ages will make it even more difficult to find a situation where all three attend schools with A/C (unless you plan on driving them, individually, around the entire island!). If you have a BIG education budget you might consider private schools, one of the most "affordable" is in Kapolei.

But I seem to tolerate it just fine. Everyone is different.
For a minute there, I felt like someone was trying to make me second guess myself

Hey Oahu/Hawaii fans: Name another place in America where children are forced to go to school in 95F-105F classrooms. "Lucky we live Hawaii" -- Of course the "we" doesn't refer to all residents, certainly not the keiki...

I knew that I wasn't imagining things. It's the craziest thing, and a major relief.

Children in Hawaii aren't forced to attend school in 95F-105F classrooms.

1) Homeschool
2) Private School
3) Move
