I'm always amused when DC types assume that there MUST be a law against EVERYTHING. And if there isn't one, there damn well SHOULD be one!

Maybe next time you pick a place to live, you will do your homework first.

The buses aren't wrecking the streets, they weren't all that good to begin with. When you've been in the islands a while, you'll see what I mean. In fact, the buses might be something to give thanks for -- you probably see more street crews because of them. The county doesn't care if you need to replace tires and get suspension work every month, but they certainly care if THEY do.

As far as endangering kids, this is an experiment in genetics -- locals are being bred for having the brains and speed to keep from getting run over by buses. Think of it as evolution in action.

Oh, yeah, the streets ARE narrow. Even narrower in than in most of DC. But not as narrow as in Philadelphia, where they run BIGGER busses. And where the kids are faster and smart enough to not get run over. And where the streets are always being repaired.
