Aloha, everyone!
So I finally made it here to Honolulu. I'm so happy!
My car is arriving next week, so in the meantime, I though I'd do a little tourism to get acquainted with the city. I looked into the Waikiki Trolley and their Red Line city/historical route, but I'm wondering if there are other similar services.

I have trouble (=pain) sitting for extended periods, especially on a hard surface, and the Waikiki Trolleys seem to have wood benches with no padding. So I'm hoping to find a similar affordable bus or trolley tour service that has padded seats.

Any suggestions?

How about public transportation? Look at the routes for The Bus and you will find ways to get all around Honolulu and beyond.

Isn't it the #57 bus that circles the island? Plus you can get on and off as you like. Ask for a pass as you get off and you'll be able to catch the next bus going in the same direction.

Thanks everyone for your replies. And that was great info about the #57 bus. I might just take it sometime.

I ended up calling Lyft to take me to Hanauma Bay, Magic Island, and other places. And I used The Bus for short rides. And my car finally arrived last week, so I'm getting around much easier now. I've become acquainted with the traffic situation, so I may still use The Bus and/or Lyft, depending on where I need to go.

I loved using Lyft. Super convenient, fast, and very very reasonable prices (I used Uber once and it was more expensive). If anyone is interested in Lyft, let me know so that I can refer you and we both get free rides.

Loving this city! So glad I came.

Lyft and Uber are the same price on Oahu (off the top of my head $1.50 mile)
