Yikes! Cable TV providers drive me nuts! Since two telephone calls can't seem to resolve my question, perhaps some kind soul on this board will be able to do what the cable rep can't. Which channels on Oahu provide Japanese language programming, and which level of service/delivery must I subscribe to in order to access these channels?

TIA for any and all replies.

I simply went to oceanic.com and found the channel lineups by package. See if this direct link works for you:

Time Warner Cable | Time Warner Cable | Hawaii

Thanks, mdand3boys. That was my first foray, however with 200+channels,
it is difficult to sort thru and find those that are Japanese language. Lastly, regarding the ones I found, I can't determine if they require additional cost or part of the subscription packjage. Frankly, I don't think the website is particularly user friendly, and the customer support seems hit and miss.

KIKU (Channel 9 and Channel 89 on Oceanic Time Warner) provides Japanese language programming and it's included with basic cable service. NGN, NGN2, NGN3, and "NGN on Demand" (Channels 677 to 680 respectively) are the Japanese language channels available with the "Premium Package." Here are links to KIKU's and NGN's websites...

If you're into Japanese dramas and movies, you can simply watch them over the internet....

Jonah K, Bless you! Thank you for your post. It was perfect, and I was able to inquire online with Oceanic Time Warner to finally figure out what would be the costs involved with a subscription at a level of service which includes Japanese language programming.

I must apologize for not extending my thanks to you for the link which features Japanese dramas and movies. I have spent the last two days watching really bad TV dramas while stuffing my face with popcorn..........the regular butter stuff. I find the combination of butter and nori in the Hawai'ian style popcorn to be completely odious.

Thanks again! Your post was fantastic, and I have been having a heck of a lot of fun since receiving it.
