I'm looking at the state and federal laws around the country, Rhode Island and Florida in particular, for an Introductory Economics assignment, and I've a few questions. Namely, I'd like to know the actual worth of the minimum wage in Ocala on a basis of amount of pay compared to cost of living. Does Dunnellon have a better ratio of that? If I return to the north, will I have better opportunities despite the minimum wage in Providence being about twenty-five cents lower? Are there any particular caveats to the laws here, like paying servitors and waiters a lower minimum wage to make up for tips? What is the usual cost of living for somebody in the last two years of high school and considering community college followed by four years of medical back up north or travel? Quick answers would be appreciated, and thank you in advance.

I don't really understand your question but the goal of an employee should be to offer skills to the employer that will let the employer make a profit. The more money the employer can make the more money the employee should make.

You can search for cost of living calculators that will tell you costs between cities but I don't think anyone does one for high school students costs.
