I have never seen a cart that someone did not return it for the quarter and I live in Wisconsin and it can be 30 below zero and everyone gets there quarter back. The stores here are clean as a can be. I went there today, Sunday, and someone was cleaning out the cooler cases with spray cleaner and wiping them down.

I am moving to Florida from Wisconsin in the next two years, and I love Aldis. SO this is wonderful!

This is an old thread but we have a small Aldi's near where I live in the northeast. I like them, the prices are pretty good and I don't mind 'renting' the cart for $.25 b/c I have to do the same thing here at our local ShopRite, it does make for a better parking lot so you can usually find a good parking spot w/o dodging shopping carts (but like everything else, not everyone cares about giving up $.25 so there's usually a few random carts). I just have to remember to bring extra bags, I don't really want to buy theirs for $.10 when I have a zillion at home.

Nope...we've had Aldi in our area for years and I have never seen anyone leave a cart.
Aldi has great prices and we buy almost everything there.
The only reason I go to any other grocery stores is when I want to buy a pork roast, Aldi doesn't sell those.

A big peeve of mine is when people say "Aldi's"....it's Aldi. You wouldn't say "Food Lion's" or "Walmart's". LMAO.

I think the reason people add the extra "s" is because people think of Walgreens. No other rational explanation I can think of. I hear the name "Aldi's" many times when I talk to people about it and I Know I have called it the same thing from time to time.
