I felt I had narrowed down where we would like to relocate to.Ohio being our preference, Pa a runnner up. I am a bit concerned about red water/ iron in the water throughout Ohio. Is this a common issue. Looking online some homes seems to have stained looking tubs, sink etc........ It is a bit disconcerting. IN fact how is this problem resolved.
thanks!

It's usually treated with a water softener, or an iron filter with potassium permanganate. I'm lucky enough to not need anything on my well, but it's really not a big deal.

do your research, there are areas that could have questionable ground water anywhere. You should be aware that there is a lot of Fracking (google it if you don't know) going on in PA and eastern Ohio. There are reports that it could affect the ground water.
